The History of Gîtes de Val, by Valérie

After more than 30 years working for one of France’s largest companies, and once my children had grown up and become independent, I felt the call to embark on a new path. A path that would bring me back to what truly matters and allow me to reconnect with my core values: sharing the beauty and diversity of my home region, and offering my guests a true haven of peace in a world that’s constantly changing.

It took several months to find “THE” place that truly resonates with me—the one that deeply reflects who I am. A place where nature and tranquility meet the timeless character of old stone. An authentic building in the heart of the Alpilles, where the old blends harmoniously with the modern, and which naturally invites people to share and connect.

In these charming Provençal guesthouses, the old stone walls and woodwork envelop you in a cocoon of comfort and serenity. With complete independence, you’ll explore Provence and the Alpilles at your own pace, following your heart’s desire.

In the Mas, an entire wing is dedicated to guest rooms, each with its own private bathroom, and a common area designed for relaxation, games, or reading for guests of all ages. By the fireplace, we’ll take the time to share not only breakfast but also our life experiences and our favorite spots in the region.
